Norman Vincent Peale was one of the most popular preachers in America. He was the author of The Power of Positive Thinking, one of the most popular inspirational/self-help books ever published.
Rev. Norman Vincent Peale was ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church, but he later converted to the Reformed Church. Most Dutch Reformed and other organized Reformed Church members in the United States are now in the Reformed Church in America (RCA). Peale was the president of the Reformed Church in America in 1969 and 1970.
Rev. Norman Vincent Peale preached from the Manhattan's Marble Collegiate Church in New York City. Among his notable followers were comedian and leading sitcom star Lucille Ball.
