The Religious Affiliation of Comic Book Character
Captain Manhattan was a Christian superhero introduced in Marvel's "New Universe" title D.P.7. The character was not introduced until D.P.7 issue #30, and the series ended with issue #32. Suffice it say, the character did not have very many appearances, although issue #30 did feature him on the cover with the blurb: "Introducing Captain Manhattan!"
We do not yet know what branch of Christianity or denomination Captain Manhattan belonged to.
Captain Manhattan had telekinetic powers and (as his name implies) was based in Manhattan in New York City and acted as a protected for that borough.
After appearing in the final issues of D.P.7, Captain Manhattan later appeared in 3 issues of Quasar and an issue of Starblast that featured cross-over stories between the Marvel Universe and the New Universe.

Here are a couple of Christian superheroes that haven't been mentioned yet:
from DP7. Most notable was the Quasar issue where he prayed before intercepting a large falling object (which turned out to be Quasar).
