The Religious Affiliation of Comic Book Character
Beta Ray Bill
of Thor Corps, Starmasters and Omega Flight

Beta Ray Bill is a Marvel Comics super-hero who is an alternative alien version of Thor and became a significant supporting character in the Thor comics. Beta Ray Bill has been a member of the Thor Corps, the Starmasters and the Canadian-based Omega Flight.

Although Beta Ray Bill was born and raised in the native religion of his Korbinite race, he is essentially a convert to the religion of Earth's Thor. He can thus be classified as an adherent of Norse or Teutonic paganism.

Below: Beta Ray Bill swears in the name of Odin, the chief god and all-father of Asgardians and Teutonic paganism: "These demons you serve destroyed my home, and decimated my people! I swear by the blood of Odin you will not--"

Below: Beta Ray Bill and his affinity for Thor and Asgardian religion: "These demons hunted my people. They came to destroy us, as the prophecies had foretold. With my brother-in-arms, Thor, I crushed them. I found my true self, then, I found a home, Asgard. But what connection do they have to this place? The dreams must mean something. They always mean something."
